The Loop

More than just a place of business. The Loop has become increasing residential over the past few years as luxury condo buildings have gone up along a historic stretch of Michigan Avenue. The loop of streetcar tracks that gave this neighborhood it's name have since been replaced by subway and elevated trains following the same path. From the Loop you can get anywhere in the city via train. Located just south of the river, The Loop borders Millennium Park and Grant Park on it's eastern edge. A vibrant daytime scene turns into a quiet neighborhood at night once the offices close. Hotels, theaters, shopping and cultural attractions share space with the residential condo buildings and bring tourists in the summer that give the Loop a level of energy unlike other Chicago neighborhoods.
