Sellers: Fall Pictures are a smart move

Selling in the next 6 months?

The seasons are changing and unfortunately this beautiful weather won't last much longer. If you are considering selling in the next six months, now is the time to get your home photographed.

Homes sell all year long regardless of the weather, but homes photograph best with green landscaping and clear summer views.

High quality pictures and video are the keystones of your home's marketing.

We all know the internet and social media has revolutionized how real estate is marketed. The first time a buyer sees your home will not be in person - they’ll see it online from wherever they may be. Making your home stand out during this crucial first impression is an essential part of a fast, successful sale. High quality pictures work to significantly increase your home's perceived value and lead to more aggressive offers. Web appeal is the new curb appeal.

Single family homes, small condo buildings and townhomes

Sadly, the exterior and outdoor spaces of your home won't look this good again until May or June of next year. Some things can be digitally edited, but other things cannot. Pictures taken this time of year will be much more inviting to potential buyers.

High-rise condo buildings

Even high-rise condos without a yard photograph better this time of year. A beautiful city or lake view might be a major selling point for your home, but think about how your view changes throughout the year. An icy lake Michigan view with grey city streets and bare trees conveys a much different living experience to potential buyers. It pays to not leave things to the buyers imagination.

The difference is clear:
